The Perfect Vegan Charcuterie Board

Vegan Charcuterie Board

Over the past several years I have addressed some of my chronic ailments by watching my diet quite closely. Ten years ago I gave up gluten. Within the past few years I have reduced sugar, added more fruits and vegetables, eliminated processed food and seed oils. The hardest yet was giving up dairy in 2024 (especially when I work with it almost every day!). Therefore, it became my one women mission to create an absolutely fabulous vegan and gluten free charcuterie board so nobody with these diet restrictions would miss out.

Vegan charcuterie resembles traditional charcuterie but without any animal products. These boxes typically include a variety of items such as:

  1. Vegan Cheeses: Made from nuts (like cashews or almonds), soy, or other plant-based ingredients, these cheeses can come in various flavors and textures.

  2. Cured Meats Alternatives: Plant-based "meats" made from ingredients like seitan, tempeh, tofu, or legumes that mimic the texture and flavor of traditional deli meats.

  3. Fruits and Vegetables: Fresh, dried and vegetables add color, flavor, and variety. Common choices include grapes, figs, olives, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers.

  4. Crackers and Bread: A selection of vegan crackers, breadsticks, or sliced baguettes to pair with the cheeses and spreads.

  5. Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, walnuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, and other nuts and seeds add a crunchy element.

  6. Spreads and Dips: Hummus, tapenade, guacamole, or nut butters are popular choices.

  7. Sweet Elements: Dark chocolate, vegan cookies, or energy balls for a touch of sweetness.

  8. Garnishes: Fresh herbs, edible flowers, or microgreens to enhance the visual appeal.

I personally found the most delectable vegan cheese spread right at my local Ralph's grocery store. Treeline Cheesemakers make the most amazing French Style CreamyScallion Cashew Cheese. The ingredients are simple and pure and the taste is beyond! As well instead of processed vegan "meat", I found Fig Salami by Hellenic Farms at my local health food store! They feature incredible flavors such as orange zest and aleppo pepper. Both of these vegan items are also gluten free and I feature them on my vegan board.

Order one today for picnics, gatherings and as a gift for your dietary challenged friend (like me)! It will be truly appreciated.
